Link Crew and Freshmen 2019

FRESHMEN ORIENTATION AND LINK CREW START THEY YEAR OFF RIGHT!
Link Crew (part of the Boomerang Project) is a program being implemented this year at PHS.  Advisors, Nina Piper and Rob Reilly, have been working with our Link Crew Leaders to ramp up this NEW peer mentoring program for incoming Freshmen entering the high school for the 2019-20 school year!  The Link Crew Leaders have been assigned a group of Freshmen with whom they will be in contact and participate in activities all year long to help with a smooth transition into high school life at Palisades!  We are looking forward to great things from this program and our students!  Welcome to PHS!

Note:  The program has been funded through a grant received by the PA Commission on Crime and Delinquency.  Special thanks to our newest educational partner, Chick-Fil-A and Mr. Stew Butler, for providing food for our group during mentor training!

Paliserves Volunteer Opportunities

#PALISERVES - OPENING DAY ACTIVITIES
On Tuesday, August 27th, our teachers, staff and administrators met for our Opening Day Celebration.  After a welcome and several presentations by our Superintendent, Dr. Bridget O'Connell, and our School Board President, Bob Musantry, everyone got ready to participate in the 3rd Annual #PALISERVES Event.  Our entire staff (approximately 300 employees) participated in an activity (about 20 available) ranging from writing letters to Veterans to Cleaning up Route 412.  This is a great opportunity for team building with other employees and getting to know other community members!  It also provides an opportunity for our staff to learn about service options for students in our community.

SPRINGFIELD LIONS CLUB DONATES SUPPLIES TO STUDENTS:
Once again this year, a big haul of supplies was dropped off at Springfield Elementary School for our students by Lions Club members, Charles and Anita Morton (pictured with Scott Davis, Springfield's principal).  The generosity of this organization has continued for many years and our students really appreciate it!
