Patch 062220

CHROMEBOOKS FOR SUMMER USE:

To ensure your student’s Chromebook works properly at the beginning of next school year, please make sure to have your child do the following:
*
Every week plug in the Chromebook to charge the battery;
*
Every week connect to the Internet and login to their account so the Chromebook can receive updates.
If your child has any issues with their Chromebook during the summer, please please submit a repair request form at http://cbrepair.palisd.org, or for other issues, you may email [email protected]

SUMMER LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES:

We are excited to share that all students will have access to enrichment/extended learning opportunities throughout the summer.  Teachers in all grade levels and subject areas worked together to create “choice boards” and activities so that students can access optional lessons and learning opportunities to stay engaged during the summer months.  Students can access these activities from their Google classroom (K - 5) or Canvas courses (6-12).

SUMMER MEALS FOR CHILDREN IN PALISADES CONTINUES:

Each week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, breakfasts and lunches will be provided for all children in Palisades School District; enough bags will be distributed for all days of the week (4 for each child on the weekdays and 6 bags for the weekends).  These meals are FREE OF CHARGE and will be handed out at the high school (please follow directions when arriving at the school).  Distribution times on those days are 11AM-12:30PM.

SAFE2SAY SOMETHING PROGRAM AVAILABLE FOR STUDENTS AND FAMILIES:

This is a reminder that the Safe2Say Something Program for PA students and families remains active to anonymously report concerns about safety in our school community.
From the Safe2Say Something Website:
Safe2Say Something is a youth violence prevention program run by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General. The program teaches youth and adults how to recognize warning signs and signals, especially within social media, from individuals who may be a threat to themselves or others and to “say something” BEFORE it is too late. With Safe2Say Something, it’s easy and confidential to report safety concerns to help prevent violence and tragedies.

Here's How It Works:
*  Submit an anonymous tip report through the Safe2SaySomething System
*  Crisis center reviews, assesses and processes all submissions
*
Crisis center sends all submissions to school administration and/or law enforcement  for intervention
*
If needed, crisis center may contact tipster anonymously through the app
