MORE SENIOR CLASS 2020 NEWS!

On Thursday, May 21st and Tuesday, May 26th, 129 graduates (out of 147 graduates) from Palisades High School, took a ceremonial “walk” across the stage one last time to commemorate their graduation.  The “walks” were filmed to be included in our virtual Commencement Ceremony being aired on June 12th.  Dr. O’Connell (Superintendent), Mr. Rich Heffernan (PHS Principal), Mrs. Amber Schlosser (PHS Asst. Principal) and other personnel were on hand to welcome the students and their families to celebrate this very important moment.  Appointments were scheduled in advance to practice social distancing for this graduation ritual.  We certainly all wish that this could have been a moment that our community shared together in our stadium or auditorium, however, we can enjoy the final production on June 12th and celebrate separately, but together in our thoughts and in our hearts!  Congratulations to the Class of 2020!

HAILEY WAS TO BE A STUDENT OF PALISADES...PLEASE SUPPORT HER MEMORY:

Hailey Robert

FBLA

As you can imagine, this year, the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) State Competition looked a bit different than it usually would.  Our students were unable to improve upon their areas of focus, instead they were judged based on their test scores and project entries from the Regional Leadership Conference earlier this year.

The following members had qualified for States:

Maura Campbell, Hailey Diehl, Allie Gammello, Sarah Goggin, Melody Hughes, Camila O'Donnell, Oliver Olmstead, Collin Schaufele

A HUGE congratulations to Maura, Hailey, and Collin for their recognition of their E-Business project entry.

PCF MEAL DISTRIBUTIONS CONTINUE-PLEASE SIGN UP IN ADVANCE:

If you or someone you know would like to receive a free meal next weekend, courtesy of Palisades Community Foundation (PCF), please fill out this form:  https://forms.gle/2xWaWUaKT7P9jUw97

This meal is being provided to families in the Palisades School District thanks to the generous donations made to PCF to support those most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.  Please share this information with senior citizens who may wish to receive a meal.  You may fill out the form on their behalf and pick up the meal for them if you would like.

Meals will be distributed again on Friday, June 5th from 3-5PM at Palisades High School in a drive through fashion.  We ask that you remain in your vehicles when picking up the prepared meals for your family, friends or neighbors.  PLEASE SIGN UP EACH WEEK!

If you are interested in donating to this COVID relief project, please mail your tax free donation to PCF at PO Box 194, Kintnersville, PA  18930 or go to https://www.palisadescommunityfoundation.com/ to make an online donation using PayPal.

Again, if you would like to reserve meals to pick up on Friday, June 5th at PHS between 3 and 5PM, please fill out this form by the end of day on Wednesday, June 3rd (that will give us enough time to prepare and package the meals for distribution on Friday).  Please click here:  https://forms.gle/2xWaWUaKT7P9jUw97

We are very excited to have had an outpouring of compassion and commitment to this project by our community members!  We are all proud to be a part of this project and are thankful for your support!  We will continue to provide weekend meals at least through June 12th and are beginning to plan for our meal distribution program over the summer!

END OF YEAR TEACHER GIFTS:
If you are considering a small gift for your child's teacher at the end of the school year, please consider a gift to a charity in their name. Charities like the Palisades Community Foundation, Meals on Wheels, your school's PTA/O, Sports Boosters, or Band Boosters would be lovely. You could also give a small gift for the classroom (depending on the teacher's wish list-you could email the teacher for a need to be identified or purchase a gift card to help fulfill the purchase). Your generosity is always appreciated, although a simple thank you for their work and commitment is certainly sufficient!

LOOKING FORWARD TO SUMMER!
