Cross Country Update: Smigo and Smith will compete at PIAA 1A XC State Championships
Tomorrow, Saturday November 5th, Giada Smith and Thomas Smigo will compete in the PIAA Cross Country Championships in Hershey, PA. The girls race begins at 11:00 AM while the boys race starts at 1:15 PM. Good Luck to both athletes! Notably, Thomas is looking to repeat as the PIAA Boys State Champion!
Boys Soccer Update: District XI 1A Boys Soccer Championship
On Wednesday, November 2nd the Boys Soccer team competed in the District XI 1A championship game versus Moravian Academy. The team fought hard, but lost a tough game. Congratulations to our silver medal winning Boys Soccer team. Notably, this was the first time since 1990 that the Boys Soccer team competed in the District XI Championship game.

Marching Band Fundraiser - Gertrude Hawk Chocolate
The PHS Marching Band is fundraising with a Gertrude Hawk chocolate sale. The sale runs through November 7th. The money raised will be used toward the band's many needs such as equipment and travel expenses. Orders will come in around the week of December 5th, just in time for Christmas.

This year's fall play "PUFFS" (Or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic) is Friday, November 18th at 7PM and Saturday, November 19th at 2PM. The play is a 'spoof' of the Harry Potter Franchise, told from the standpoint of the "Puffs" (based on Hufflepuffs). The Palisades School District is joining the Bucks County Suicide Prevention Taskforce to participate in the Hold On You Matter Walk to Make A Difference event on Saturday, November 5. The walk will take place at Upper Bucks County Community College (UBCCC), located at 1 Hillendale Road in Perkasie PA. Registration and program starts at 12:30 pm, followed by the walk at 1:30 pm. Students, families, staff members, and community members are encouraged to attend this meaningful event.

Two Long-term Substitute Instructional Assistants (IAs)/Paraprofessionals at Palisades Middle School– part-time, long-term substitutes. IA will assist student(s) in individual and small group settings with students with special needs. The ability to work calmly with student(s) exhibiting behavioral and academic challenges and an ability to follow the direction of professional staff is needed. Although not required, those with a teaching certification are encouraged to apply. Hourly rate: $21.40/hour after a probationary period, as per contract.
