IMPORTANT COVID-RELATED INFORMATION FOR FAMILIES:


WEEKEND MEALS:  If you would like to pick up free weekend breakfast and lunch, including milk, fruits, vegetables, and heat and serve meals, please stop by your child’s assigned building on Wednesdays between 10-10:30AM; you may choose just one if you have several children in different buildings.  If this is an inconvenient time for you, please contact Gerry Giarratana at 610 847-5131 ext. 5002, so that we can accommodate you.

 

FREE COVID TESTING FOR CHILDREN WHO ARE SYMPTOMATIC:  The Bucks County Health Department has recently expanded free COVID-19 testing to now include children who have exhibited symptoms of COVID-19 for at least 24 Hours.  This is in addition to school employees and contractors already eligible to be tested at these sites.  Every child must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian who will be responsible for administering the nasal swab to the child.  An updated flyer with location addresses, hours of operations, and registration information is attached below.  We thank the Bucks County Health Department for expanding this free COVID-19 testing for symptomatic children in Palisades School District!

PALMS ONLINE MUSICAL - FREE FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT DON'T MISS THE AIRING TONIGHT!

The show is a comedic whodunit, following an amateur sleuth and her fellow classmates as they tackle the mysterious disappearance of Janitor Humphrey and Lunch Lady Linda. With a lot of laughs and a lot of heart, this musical is bound to brighten your spirits (as it has our students!).


We have two talented cast lists this year, and with the show being fast-paced (and free to watch!), you should check out them both! A cast list is located here

PHS PRESENTS...HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL - Musical for Spring 2021:

This year's spring musical, "High School Musical On Stage: One Act Edition" is set to live stream on Friday, March 5th at 7:00PM. Patrons can purchase tickets and view the show through the online platform "ShowTix4U". Adult tickets are $8, and Student/Senior tickets are $6. POETRY COMPETITION FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS:  This year's Bucks County High School Poet of the Year Competition is on! The deadline is March 19, 2021.

 

The winner will receive a $300 prize and be acknowledged with a proclamation from the Bucks County Commissioners.  In addition, the Bucks County High School Poet of the Year runners-up and finalists will give a live virtual reading. Mentioning the contest and public reading on college applications will demonstrate initiative, writing skills, and public speaking experience. Clearly, there’s a lot to gain from entering the contest.

The application process is easy and there is no entry fee.

In the past PCF has helped our community with funding for numerous projects such as the stadium lighting, the all weather track, and murals at our schools...just to name a few. PCF also gives many grants to our students and teachers to help fund various projects and activities throughout the year. 


We also give back to our community members in need. This past year, PCF offered hundreds of free dinners each week over the summer  to our neighbors that were negatively impacted by the COVID -19 economic disruptions and we have purchased gifts and gift cards for families needing some extra help over the holidays!

PALISADES YOUTH SOCCER:

Palisades Youth Soccer has been providing travel and intramural soccer programs to our area for the last 40+ years and we’re working on planning this year’s programs.

Currently we’re offering open sessions on the Palisades High School Turf on Sundays for the following age groups:

·         11-12pm: 2004-2005 Boys 

·         12-1pm: 2011-2013 Girls and Boys

·         1-2pm: 2008-2010 Girls

·         2-3:30pm: 2007-2010 Boys

·         4-6pm: 2003-2007 Girls
