SPECIAL THANKS TO VETERANS!

Palisades Middle School hosted a special tribute to our Veterans on Friday, November 9.  It was truly a wonderful display of patriotism and a celebration of our freedom!  Congratulations to Dr. Scheibenhofer and his staff for hosting this event.  Special thanks to Paul Clymer for his leadership on this event, and to Representative Staats for being our emcee; Mr. Rich Heffernan and Congressman Fitzpatrick also paid tribute to our veterans.  Kudos to Ms. Baumeister and the 6th grade chorus for representing Palisades beautifully as they performed for our guests this morning.  Students from area schools were in the audience as well and learned about the service from the vets honored today. PALISADES PIRATES, KEVIN RONALDS, STEPS DOWN AS HEAD FOOTBALL COACH:

Kevin Ronalds, Head Football Coach at Palisades High School, announced his resignation this week. During the past seven years as head coach, Kevin has had a great run with the Pirates.  Among the achievements under Kevin’s reign as head coach, the Pirates enjoyed winning both the Colonial League and District Championships in 2017, as well as the Eastern Conference in 2018. Their record was 55-27 under Ronalds’ leadership.

Rich Heffernan, principal of PHS says of Ronalds, “Kevin has done an outstanding job with our football program at Palisades.  Our student-athletes, the school and the entire community have benefitted from his commitment as a coach and a leader.”

“Coach Ronalds has been a great coach, and our football program is in fantastic shape. We thank Kevin for everything he has done for Palisades football, the players, coaches and our community. We are going to miss him on the sidelines," reflects Brian Gilbert, Palisades Athletic Director.

Says Ronalds, “I want to thank the players, coaches, and their families from all of my years for their dedication and commitment.”

Kevin Ronalds will continue in his position as a Social Studies teacher at Palisades High School.
