Springfield Student Essays 1
SPRINGFIELD STUDENTS HELP SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP CELEBRATE 275 YEARS!

At last week's School Board Meeting, five students shared the essays they wrote to help celebrate Springfield Township's 275th birthday!  Nora Feather and Julianna Hershey shared projects they created on the local history of Springfield Township.  Gianna Nastasi, Ashton Fitzgerald, and Jack Feather read essays on why they like living in Springfield Township.  The local history projects and all 5th grade essays were on display at Springfield Township’s 275th Anniversary of Community Day on September 22.  Great job Panthers!

Soccer Breast Cancer Awareness

Lady Pirates Senior Night, laced it up for Breast Cancer Awareness Month with honorary captain Lexi Cable, Angel 34 Warrior on October 3, 2018. The Lady Pirates shut out the Wilson Area Warrior 4-0 and only allowed 1 shot on net!  GO PIRATES!

Drug Take Back Logo

NATIONAL DRUG TAKE BACK DAY SCHEDULED:
The national drug take back day has been scheduled for Saturday, October 27th - please drop off any unused or unwanted prescription drugs at Springfield Elementary School or Wehrungs between 10AM and 2PM.  Get them out of your medicine cabinets and keep them away from our youth! Also, it is better to drop off than to flush into our water system - thanks for keeping our community safe!

Over 54 tons of unused/unwanted drugs have been collected since the beginning of the program!

There are 10 drop sites in Upper Bucks.  The 8 Police Departments will be at their regular sites including:  Dublin, Hilltown, Pennridge Regional, Tinicum (at Wehrungs), Perkasie, Quakertown, Richland Township and Springfield Township (at Springfield Elementary School).  We also will now have drop sites on that day at Grandview Hospital Outpatient Center and St. Luke's Quakertown.

PHS LIBRARY OPEN AFTER SCHOOL ON THURSDAYS:

Beginning Thursday, October 11th, the library will be open from 2:30-4:00 for students to use. This will allow our students a quiet place to complete homework, access the wifi network, research, and/or work with group members on a project. This is a great opportunity for students to use our facility and the outstanding resources to advance their learning. Coincidentally, late buses run on Thursdays 4:45 pm.

COMMUNITY ACCESS TO THE TRACK AND STADIUM:

Please help spread the word throughout the community that our stadium and track are available for community use on school days from 6:00-7:30AM and 2:30-10:00PM. On weekends and other school holidays, the community can access the stadium and track from 6:00 am until 10:00PM.
