STEM Night 1 rev     Stem Night 2

STEM Night is a Huge Success!

Congratulations to Mr. Dylan Fedell and our PHS science teachers, as well as our Chief Science Officers for hosting a very successful night for elementary students to learn more about Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM)!  Our budding scientists had a wonderful time learning and experiencing science activities!  A great night for sharing knowledge and providing our high school students with a chance to demonstrate leadership as role models for our youngest science enthusiasts!

Left photo:  Students, Dean Bartels, Hailey Stevens, and Sarah Goggin are preparing for the event.

Financial support provided by Palisades Community Foundation.

Speaking of Science…

Lila Clapp (freshman) has graced our new science wing with her artwork.  She has been drawing pictures of famous scientists to decorate the walls of the new science area at PHS.  Check it out when you come to see the Harlem Wizards (enter through the new science wing on Monday night)!

Ivy Anxiety by Lauren Rood

A Published Author Among Us!

PE Teacher (PHS) Lauren Rood wrote and published a children's book titled, Ivy Anxiety. "Her modesty is admirable," says colleague Mrs. Timochenko, "but this is something that should most certainly be shouted from the rooftops!" Check it out and order your copy on Amazon!

From Amazon...This story is about a young year old girl who suddenly develops Separation Anxiety and refuses to go to school. The story addresses some signs and symptoms of her anxiety. It also discusses some key people that help her on her journey to improvement. The book also includes strategies that she uses on a daily basis to help ease her anxiety.
