PRINCIPALS' APPRECIATION MONTH!
We could not be more proud of our building principals who support students, staff and families each and EVERY day! The work they do in areas such as curriculum, budget, personnel matters, student engagement, and sometimes discipline too (just to name a few)...their work helps our students develop and grow as individuals and young adults! THANK YOU for putting your heart and soul into your job! WE APPRECIATE ALL OF YOU!
Each school has a little tribute video - check them out! Have a tissue!

Students from the
STEM Outreach Club and Key Club visited Easton's Micro-Forest and the Nurture Nature Center in Easton, yesterday!

Our first stop was the micro-forest in Easton where we discussed the project with its creator, Rob Christopher, a Certified Arborist, and Easton City Forester. He discussed the process of choosing trees to plant in this area, and the various constraints and considerations he made based on site conditions. He provided students with practical know-how in choosing, planting, and maintaining young trees in preparation for our annual tree planting at Peppermint Park.

Students then headed to the Nurture Nature Center for lunch and a presentation called Science on a Sphere where students were shown satellite data projected on a giant globe relating to energy sources, CO2 emissions, and their effects on Earth's climate. To be discussed at our next Club meeting is how trees can help to mitigate some of these effects.

Red Ribbon Week Logo

Red Ribbon Week at PALMS:

Red Ribbon Week is the oldest and largest drug prevention program in the nation,
reaching millions of Americans during October of every year.

Through a commitment to drug prevention and education and a personal commitment to live drug free lives, the ultimate goal is the creation of a drug free America and that starts with a drug free school and community.

This year’s theme is Kindness Matters. Being kind starts with being kind to yourself by choosing to be drug free, and make healthy lifestyle choices. Being kind includes considering others, helping and volunteering, and making decisions to make the world around you a better place.

Here at PALMS kindness matters in every aspect of what we do as students, staff, faculty, and as a community from riding the bus to helping keep the building clean and safe. It doesn’t cost a thing to be kind, and as you move through your day, this year, and your middle school career, remember to be kind to yourself and others because...Kindness does matter.
