PHS Fall Play

PALISADES HIGH SCHOOL PROUDLY PRESENTS - FALL STUDENT DIRECTED PLAY:
The Palisades Theatre Department proudly presents "12 Incompetent Jurors" by Ian McWethy for their 2020 Fall Play. Students Directors Madi Smith and Zozo Mekki are bringing the deliberation room to life, featuring 16 talented actors socially distanced. The production will be live streamed on our Palisades TV YouTube Channel on November 20th at 7PM and November 21st at 2PM.

The Synopsis:
When a man is accused of abducting half a dozen cats, it's a simple open-and-shut case, even for a jury that's filled with oddballs like a dim-witted PR flack, a bickering couple, and a creep obsessed with french fries. After all, every scrap of evidence indicts the accused. (I mean so clearly. The man is very, very guilty of stealing cats. Case closed.) And yet, Juror #8, a wannabe lawyer, believes that the "Cat Burglar" is innocent. Will he be able to sway the other jury members? Or will they side with Juror #3, the only sane one in the room? A hilarious parody of 12 Angry Men.

Eric Gladfelter
BEST WISHES TO RETIREE, ERIC GLADFELTER:
At a recent meeting, the Board accepted the resignation of Mr. Eric Gladfelter, Director of Pupil Services. Eric has been a valuable member of the Palisades School District for the past 28 years. Prior to becoming a district employee in 1992, he worked with the Bucks County Intermediate Unit for 11 years, spending one day each week at Palisades. With his experience, Eric was able to transition from the IU as a school psychologist into his position at Palisades easily.
Dr. O'Connell noted at that recent board meeting, "Eric is extremely knowledgeable about special education; he is organized, detail-oriented, and most importantly a kind and caring administrator. To say that I'm going to miss working with Eric is an understatement."
Eric will be leaving the district in February. The search for his replacement is currently underway.
