Spotlight on Emotional Wellness and Support for Students:
Emotional wellness and support for our students continues to be a focus of attention for us and is an important area of attention of our Comprehensive Plan that will be in place through 2023.
This year, we added a new counseling position for our elementary schools which means that we now have a school counselor employed in each of our elementary buildings, one counselor in our middle school and two serving high school students. Along with the support our students receive from our school counselors, teachers, staff, nurses and administrators, we have two full-time school psychologists and one part-time social worker serving students in our district. We
also contract services and rely on relationships we have developed with outside agencies/providers to assist students.

In addition to becoming a Trauma Informed district, we have many age-appropriate programs in place at the elementary, middle and high school levels to help support our students' social and emotional well-being. The programs listed below are a sampling of the programs we use and provide necessary resources and tools for students. This is not a comprehensive list, but it will give you an idea of many of the programs we use in our schools. Below that list are a number of training programs in which our teachers and staff have participated.
