2019 BCMEA STRING DAY:

Congratulations to Rory Sayre (PHS), Chantel Latham (PALMS), Cora Urban (Springfield), and Lilly Clifford (Springfield) for their participation in the 2019 BCMEA String Day on November 2nd.  These students joined over 100 other top Bucks County orchestra students to learn music and perform in a concert all in one day.  Our students came ready to work, were well behaved, and truly represented some of our amazing talent within Palisades!  Please join us in extending them a congratulations for all of their hard work and accomplishments!  Photo above:  Mr. McGorrey with Cora and Lilly at the event.

THIS WEEK'S SPOTLIGHT:  Mrs. Carol Clemens, School Board Director

Mrs. Clemens has been a School Board of Director for the past 32 years!  Serving as a volunteer on the School Board, Mrs. Clemens has undeniably been a force on the Board, although she is a very patient and kind person.  She served as Board Secretary for most of her tenure on the School Board and also served as the Palisades School Board representative on the Bucks County Intermediate Unit's Board.  Carol also chaired the Education Programs and Services sub-committee of the Palisades School Board.

Carol Clemens Retirement

Her leadership and fiscal conservatism is revered by all who have served on the Board with her and by those administrators and staff who have worked with her throughout her many terms.  At the School Board meeting this past week, Carol was referred to by Rebecca Robert-Malamis, Deputy Director of the Bucks IU, as the "Grande Dame - a woman of influential position within a particular sphere".  No truer words could be said of Mrs. Clemens.  She has been extremely influential over the many years of service in the support of our students and the district overall.  We will truly miss Carol's input and dedication, however, we all wish her many sunny days on the beach in her retirement!  A heartfelt thanks goes out to you Carol!  Be well!
